CHIA collects Community Health Centers’ (CHC) Cost reports on an annual basis. The reports are used by CHIA and other public entities for monitoring costs and for health care payment policy development. CHC providers must submit their data in accordance with 957 CMR 6.00 and the filing requirements set out in the cost report filing instructions, which can be found in the blue box on the right of this page.
The CHC cost report is submitted to CHIA through online INET application. In order to use this application to file your cost report, you must be formally registered.
If you are not already registered with CHIA's INET application, please do so as soon as possible. You can review our INET Questions and Answers, and complete the necessary forms to register as an INET filer.
In the past, cost reporting requirements have been on a staggered schedule depending on whether the CHC operates using a fiscal year that ends on June 30th or on another date. Our goal going forward is to have all CHCs report for the same fiscal year at the same time. All CHCs, regardless of Fiscal Year End (FYE) date, are required to file their fiscal year 2017 cost report by Tuesday, June 26, 2018.
In addition to the 2017 CHC INET cost report filing and financial statements, CHIA is requesting each CHC’s 2016 financial statements in lieu of an INET cost report for 2016.
If you have any questions regarding the cost report, please contact CHIA’s Pricing Cost Report Help Desk at (617) 701-8156 and ask for assistance regarding the Community Health Center Cost Report.
