Questions

Please contact CHIA if you have any questions regarding this data.

CHIA’s National Health Care Statistics uses several reliable publicly available sources to facilitate comparisons between Massachusetts and the US performance on several key health care data points.

The databook resource shows comparative measures of:

  • Access

  • Health insurance enrollment

  • Health insurance premiums, and

  • Deductibles, Copays, and Coinsurance

Additionally, CHIA has developed an online Tableau dashboard to perform customized research on some of the most frequently-requested information. This dashboard includes data on private sector employee premiums trends and cost-sharing over time, private sector enrollee coverage, larger categories of enrollees (e.g. Uninsured, Medicaid) as percent of total population over time among other dashboard items. These measures compare directly to, or are related to, data that CHIA currently produces. CHIA will update this databook as information becomes available.

Parties interested in CHIA-maintained metrics on the performance of the Massachusetts health care system should see Standard Statistics.
