Early this fall, the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA), the Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI), the Donaghue Foundation, the Harvard Medical School Department of Health Care Policy, and Freedman HealthCare collaborated to create an open challenge to design a mobile app or website for presenting cost data and other relevant information to help health care consumers make informed health care decisions.
Some very thoughtful designs were submitted and evaluated by a select group of judges. The judges read the proposals and rated them on criteria such as consumer focus, understanding of the data, ease of use, and feasibility. Three student and three professional teams have been selected by our judges as finalists who will now 'pitch' their proposals via video.
